God makes no mistakes!!!!

“In the summer of 2017, I was playing baseball, the game I truly love since I was a little boy, from little league to Babe Ruth to High School and then a short stint of pro baseball. By the end of the summer I started noticing weakness in my right hand and right leg, I thought well maybe I’m starting to get old (52 yrs young) so I figured there was nothing to worry about! In September visited my cardiologist because I needed him to give me a medical clearance in order to proceed with surgery to remove a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of pain! Upon the doctor taking my blood pressure, he rushed to the emergency room due to my elevated blood pressure to see if I suffered a stroke. After a bunch of testing to rule other diseases, I was given a bad break in January 2018. I was diagnosed with the horrible ALS disease also known as Lou Gehrig disease after the late great NY Yankee Baseball player!”

“Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a disease that kills the nerves that control motion in your body. As those nerves die the body will lose complete control of all muscles, and eventually will lose the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe! Although I was given a bad break, I decided not to let ALS define me but rather to live my life with a purpose and inspire people to fight and live life to the fullest! I’m thankful for a great support team of doctors, family, and great friends that inspire me to battle and never to quit!”

“So my message is very simple- live, love, and leave your mark! God makes no mistakes!! The family has started a gofundme for me to help me with the heavy burden of medical treatments and expensive medication. No donation is too small and we as a family are very humbled and grateful for the love and support from total strangers! The universe is full of people that truly care! God bless!!”
